You can be assured of a warm welcome when you come and stay at Catcliffe self catering Cottage which is owner maintained. Our lovely Victorian limestone holiday cottage nestles above the famous Peak District market town of Bakewell, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The holiday cottage is in a quiet hillside location, yet only a five minute walk down the adjacent footpath to all the tourist shops and amenities that this wonderful Peak District market town has to offer.
Our holiday cottage has been recently upgraded. The self-catering, three bedroomed accommodation is well-equipped and comfortably sleeps five people. The cosy lounge has a ceiling beam and open fireplace, leather sofas, a TV and DVD player and playstation. The well-equipped dining kitchen boasts quality oak fitted units, an integrated fridge, with freezer compartment, double electric oven, gas hob, microwave and toaster and radio. Exposed ceiling beams and spotlights, together with further under-surface lighting, lend character to the kitchen, which has a rear facing window with views beyond the adjoining courtyard towards Bakewell church. A spacious utility room with automatic washing machine and combination boiler leads down from the dining kitchen. The back door opens onto a rear-facing courtyard where there are sheds for secure bike storage.
Two steps lead up from the dining kitchen area to the newly installed bathroom, which has a separate corner shower enclosure, bath, washbasin and WC.
There is an attractive main bedroom on the first floor comprising fitted wardrobes, and kingsize double bed, with delightful views over the cottage gardens. The rear-facing single bedroom on this floor has lovely views over the surrounding countryside and Bakewell church.
The pine twin bedroom on the second floor has stunning views across Bakewell and beyond towards the Peak District hills, as well as spectacular views in a south-westerly direction from the front window across the adjoining cottage gardens.
There is a pretty little garden with a south facing patio, with garden furniture, to the front of the cottage.
Private, off-road parking is available for one car in the holiday cottage car park, with further space close by on the nearby lanes if required.
Linen and towels are provided, and the price is inclusive of gas central heating and utilities. This is a non-smoking establishment, and unfortunately pets cannot be accommodated. Families are welcome. Please let us know if you have very small children so that a cot, high chair or stair gate can be provided if required. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.
